AN ELDERLY man has appeared in court accused of 25 separate counts of sexual assault on boys, including rape.
John Bishop, 77, attended Stevenage Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday charged with rape, indecent assault and sexual touching of boys aged 14 under age.
The offences are alleged to have taken place in Stevenage between 2001 and 2006.
Bishop, of Verity Way, Stevenage, was released on conditional bail and is due to appear at Cambridge Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing tomorrow (Wednesday).
