It was reported that violence was threatened, and officers subsequently stopped a white BMW in Lytton Way – near the police station – as part of their enquiries.

Police conducted a search of the car and the occupants, and a knife was recovered.

The three occupants – a 17-year-old girl, a 22-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman, all from Stevenage – were arrested on suspicion of affray and possessing an offensive weapon.
