Bilel Mohsni has had a loan spell at Ipswich Town this season
Southend United centre-back Bilel Mohsni is training with Stevenage.
The French-Tunisian, who has had a trial with West Ham United and a loan spell at Ipswich Town this season, is currently with the Boro squad with the view to a permanent deal.
Stevenage are looking to sign ‘one or two players’ before the transfer deadline passes on Thursday, and with the news last week that centre-back Jon Ashton is set to miss the remainder of the season with an Achilles injury manager Gary Smith is thought to be on the lookout for defensive reinforcements.
Although Mohsni, who played alongside current Stevenage midfielder Anthony Grant last season, is currently on the books of Southend he is refusing to train with the team.
Southend boss Paul Sturrock told the BBC earlier this month: “Being a registered footballer he has the opportunity to have the training facilities here which he has turned down.”
