Stevenage Half Marathon

ORGANISERS of the Stevenage Half Marathon have presented £300 to the Garden House Hospice. The marathon aims to raise money for good causes. Last year s event raised £5,654 after expenses and so far £3,566 of that has been distributed to local charities.

Organiser Tony Osborne said: "The Comet newspaper nominated the hospice as one of the charities for our support. We are of course delighted to co-operate with their wishes as we understand what good work the hospice performs."
Jenny Lupton from the hospice, based in Gillison Close in Letchworth GC, said: "We appreciated being nominated to benefit from the Stevenage Half Marathon and wish Mr and Mrs Osborne every success with the organisation of this year's event.
