MORE than 50 local business men and woman gathered for an Olympic Breakfast at the Holiday Inn in Stevenage.

The event was held to give valuable information on opportunities and procedures for Hertfordshire businesses to make the most of the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

As part of the event, special guest, rower Dr Alison Mowbray who won a silver medal at the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004, gave an inspirational account of her journey to success.

General manager at the Holiday Inn, Gerard Ryan, said: "The staging of the Olympic Games is a fantastic opportunity for Hertfordshire and will help to add to the county's profile and economic growth over the coming years.

"Even after the Games, the legacy it leaves behind is a great bonus for the business community in Hertfordshire to work together.

"We certainly want to be part of this and our team is geared up to support other businesses with meetings and events.
