It was a busy weekend for Stevenage fire crews as they attended four separate incidents across town.

At 4am this morning, firefighters were called to a home in Ryecroft in Stevenage Old Town, after a fire broke out in the kitchen.

The blaze was out by the time crews arrived but one person was given First Aid at the scene.

They were also called to a car fire on Woolners Way at 1.30pm yesterday, and a motorbike fire at Vardon Road in Stevenage on Saturday.

On Saturday evening at 5.30pm they used hoses to put out a hedge, bushes and a fence which were alight on Taywood Close.
