A team of cyclists representing Stevenage Football Club are holding a fundraising event with the help of manager Graham Westley on Friday, as they gear up for 150-mile charity challenge in June.
The London to Amsterdam Challenge will see teams from all 72 clubs in the Sky Bet Football League ride from Leyton Orient’s ground to the home of Ajax Amsterdam in The Netherlands – in a bid to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK.
Ahead of the challenge, Stevenage FC’s podcast team are hosting a live recording of its 50th episode at the club’s Broadhall Suite from 7.30pm on Friday – with manager Westley refereeing proceedings.
The event follows a format similar to Channel 4 TV quiz show 8 Out Of 10 Cats, with all proceeds from £5 tickets going to the charity.
