A drink-driver from Stevenage who was caught at the wheel while almost five times the alcohol limit has been banned from the road and given a community sentence.
Chido Muzvidziwa, of Kestrel Close, had 167mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath when police stopped her Mini Cooper in Woodcock Road on April 8. The limit is 35mcg.
Stevenage magistrates chaired by Deborah Maggs banned the 22-year-old from holding a driving licence for 36 months, and ordered her to complete 200 hours of unpaid community work in the next 12 months.
Muzvidziwa, who had at a previous hearing admitted drink-driving, must also pay £85 costs and £85 surcharge.
Last December, a drink-driver in Stevenage who was involved in a crash while more than four times the alcohol limit was given a suspended prison term.
A van driver who was four times the alcohol limit in Walkern was given a suspended sentence in June.
