Stevenage draw Premier League side Stoke City in EFL Cup

Stevenage will host Stoke City in the second round of the EFL Cup.

Boro booked their place in the second round with a 1-0 win at Ipswich Town on Tuesday evening and as a result have been handed a home draw against Mark Hughes’ Premier League side.

Stoke City reached the semi-final of the competition last year before losing out on penalties to Liverpool.

The match will take place on the week beginning August 22.
