Stevenage will host Stoke City in the second round of the EFL Cup.

Boro booked their place in the second round with a 1-0 win at Ipswich Town on Tuesday evening and as a result have been handed a home draw against Mark Hughes’ Premier League side.

Stoke City reached the semi-final of the competition last year before losing out on penalties to Liverpool.

The match will take place on the week beginning August 22.
