Ben Chorley is to leave Boro by mutual consent, according to reports

Ben Chorley is set to sign for Portsmouth, according to reports from the south coast.

The centre-half, who joined Stevenage last January, is set to complete a deal to join Pompey on an 18-month contract today after leaving Boro by mutual consent, according to The News.

Chorley has made six starts this season for Boro, but is currently serving a three-match suspension following a red card at Oldham Athletic earlier this month.

The 31-year-old started his career at Arsenal as a youth player before moving to Wimbledon in 2003. He has also played for MK Dons, Tranmere Rovers and Leyton Orient, from whom Stevenage signed him.
