Riders from the Stevenage & North Herts CTC club which is part of Cycling UK, organised the 16-mile ride beginning at Fairlands Valley Park and finishing at Woolmer Green.

Cycling UK – known for many years as the Cyclists’ Touring Club – was founded in 1878 and Stevenage CTC has been going since 1989.

This year to coincide with Stevenage Cycling Festival which has been running throughout the summer, Stevenage CTC has been organising a series of rides to help get people involved.

On Tuesday afternoons, you can take part in a taster ride from Fairlands Valley Park
