Two women were seriously injured on Saturday night when a car left the road in Stevenage and ended up on its roof – and police have today appealed for witnesses.
The crash happened at 8.50pm near the junction of Trumper Road and Grace Way.
A police spokeswoman said: “A silver Ford Fiesta was travelling along Grace Way when, for reasons unknown at this time, it left the road and collided with railings, causing the vehicle to travel down the grass verge and land on its roof.
“The passengers in the rear of the vehicle, two women, suffered serious injuries. The driver, a man, and front passenger, a woman, suffered minor injuries.”
An ambulance service spokesman said three ambulance crews, a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance officer had attended the scene, and taken two patients with neck and back pain to the town’s Lister Hospital for further care.
Anyone who thinks they witnessed the incident should call PC 960 Liversidge on 101, quoting ISR 743 of October 7.
