Hitchin’s Vicki Whent attended comic convention MCM Comic Con in London at the weekend, where she got to meet actors Paul Michael Glaser, David Soul and Antonio Fargas - aka Starsky, Hutch and Huggy Bear, who were catapulted to stardom following the success of their cop show.

Vicki said: “You were either a fan of Starsky, with his luxurious curly brunette hair and street smart swagger, or Hutch, the intellectual, lithe blond. I was definitely a Starsky girl!

“Everyone remembers their first crush on a TV star, but few of us ever get to meet them, let alone give them a huge hug and receive a huge hug back.

“They were witty, gracious and very charming.”
