IT is local election time in just one week. Voters from around Comet country will have a chance to have their say next Thursday (May 3) and elect a third of the councillors at Stevenage Borough Council. The same applies for Mid Bedfordshire District Council.
For North Hertfordshire District Council all of the seats are up for election because of boundary changes in the council brought about by the Boundary Commission.

NORTH Hertfordshire District Council is currently Conservative-controlled, with 33 councillors to Labour's nine and the Liberal Democrat's seven.
At the upcoming elections Conservatives have 40 candidates standing, the Liberal Democrats have 33; Labour has 27, Green Party 17 and one from the UK Independence Party and one independent, who is a candidate in Codicote.
