PENS were swapped for paintbrushes when 15 Barclays Bank staff visited the Sue Ryder Care Home in Stagenhoe Park, St Paul's Walden.
The bankers undertook a decorating makeover of the hall as part of the Barclays employee volunteering programme.
Barry Feagan from Barclays in Stevenage said: "With over 26,000 Barclays staff participating in fundraising or volunteering projects, this is a fantastic example of staff working closely with the local community to achieve something we hope will make a real difference."
The staff worked over two days to brighten the hall and when it was finished Julie Handford from Sue Ryder Care said: "The hall looks amazing and will be enjoyed by many people within our community.
