A major Stevenage road was closed this morning after concerns for the welfare of a man on top of a multi-storey car park.
St George’s Way was shut for safety reasons after police received a call at 6.54am about a man who was spotted at the top of the nearby St George’s Way multi-storey car park, above Stevenage Indoor Market.
Police officers safely detained the man and he is being treated by paramedics.
A spokeswoman said officers remain at the scene, but the road closure was lifted just before 8am.
