Hitchin will play host to a diverse collection of artwork by five artists from the area from this evening until Sunday afternoon.

An art exhibition will take place in Oriental Splendour – specialists in handmade decorative rugs, carpets, kiln and needlework – in Churchgate in the centre of the town from 6pm tomorrow.

The line-up includes Dawn Dominic, who left a successful 20 year career in IT to become an artist focussing on mixed media sculpture and 3D glass art, Tina Culverhouse who uses glass, acrylic, metal and paper, and Gabriele Smolarz, who works with paint, drawing and photography.

Also featured are Hitchin-based professional photographer Kasia Burke, and Roz Down, who will be drawing on her experience of living in Africa. Refreshments available.
