It has been about six years since the last external redecoration programme was carried out to the offices/flats etc on the Colonnade, Station Place, Lyall Chambers area. So, starting from Monday weather permitting, they will be receiving a new makeover. The works, to be undertaken by the Heritage Foundation, will take about four months to finish, but each phase (five in total) will take in the region of three to five weeks. The work is being phased to allow minimum disruption to the public and office/flat users and the scaffolding will be placed strategically - avoiding accesses etc and all the business premises will be open as usual.
