I reported that the 30mph signs at the entrance to Whitwell on the B651 had been moved up towards St Paul's Walden and then again relocated. I can now follow this up with the rumble strips which recently appeared at a similar location on both sides of the road. These were removed this week and relocated further up the hill. I can see their purpose to slow vehicles entering the 30mph area but why on earth do we need them as we leave it? And why can't the highways department get these things right the first time? How much of our Council Tax is wasted in this way throughout the county?
