SNOW White was on hand to launch a new children's centre.
An afternoon of fun activities marked the official opening of Bedwell Children's Centre in Stevenage.
The centre brings together a whole range of services for families in the area including childcare, early years' education, health services and support for families with young children.
Co-ordinated by Sharon Bell, it is the focus for 14 nurseries, toddler, pre-school and day care groups which are based at schools, churches and community centres in the Bedwell area.
"From the centre itself we run a toy library and a mobile creche as well as co-ordinating our work with groups with young children, supporting staff and liaising with health services and groups like Homestart, "said Sharon.
"Over the past year we've been getting lots of feedback from local families about what they want from the centre and as a result more families have been able to access the services they need. We're aiming to reach 800 families in the Bedwell area and the future for the centre looks very exciting.
