Smarty’s Day Nursery in Hitchin has officially opened a new extension as it expands its facilities to be able to accommodate an extra 16 children.
It raised more than £100,000 – including £4,500 from NHDC’s Hitchin Area Committee.
Manager Romina Whitelock said: “I’m pleased with the support we’ve received. Thank you to the Hitchin Area Committee for supporting our application to help towards the building works.”
Councillor Judi Billing added: “I was delighted to visit Smarty’s recently– a nursery which provides high quality care.”
