Five brave men will be jumping out of a plane today to raise money for a hospital department which helped save their lives from prostate cancer.

Jason Keener, James Hemmings, Ian Cannonier, Antonio Ciaravella and Peter Joyce will be skydiving to raise money to buy new medical equipment for the urology department at Stevenage’s Lister Hospital.

The men are all members of the Robotic Assisted Laparoscopic Prostatectomy Heroes (RALPH) support group.

Antonio, who lives in Hitchin, said: “I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in July 2016 and, after a flurry of tests and procedures, I underwent an operation using state-of-the-art robotic surgery. This was successfully carried out at Lister by a terrific team of very special people. I am doing this skydive to give something back in support of those wonderful people.”
