Three ceramic sinks have been stolen from a garden in Letchworth.
Between 9.30pm on Wednesday, October 8 and 9am on Thursday, October 9, thieves stole the sinks – which were being used as planters – from a house in Chiltern View.
Before removing them, the crooks removed the flower displays inside them and left them at the house.
The garden is of huge sentimental value to the owners, who are very keen to have the sinks returned.
PC Martin Barringer, who is investigating the theft, said: “The sinks are quite large and would have been quite hard to move. The offenders probably took the sinks away in a vehicle.
“The residents spend a lot of time in the garden and have been very upset by the theft.”
Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the theft or who has any, to call 101 quoting crime reference number G1/14/1910.
