Attacking midfielder’s new deal runs out in 2015

Robin Shroot has signed a two-year extension with Stevenage.

The 24-year-old, whose previous deal with the club was due to run out in the summer, put pen to paper this week with his contract now running to 2015.

Shroot had a blistering start to the season scoring six goals from three starts and six substitute appearances but he has since fallen down the pecking order at Stevenage while negotiations have been ongoing.

Chairman Phil Wallace said: “We’re delighted that Robin has committed his immediate future to us. That was always our desire and I think it was Robin’s too, but we had to agree terms that worked for both parties as our policies could not be compromised.”
