Stevenage returned to training last week as they begin preparations for Teddy Sheringham’s first season in charge.

Sheringham replaced Graham Westley at Boro after the team’s play-off semi-final loss at Southend United. It is the former England striker’s first job in management.

Stevenage’s first pre-season game is at Wealdstone, Tom Pett’s former club, on Saturday. A trip to St Neots Town follows on Tuesday before the first home test against Nottingham Forest on Friday, July 17.
