The High Sheriffs of Herts and Beds are planning to meet up on the county border near Ashwell next weekend as they lend their support to an annual church fundraiser.

They are both backing the annual Beds and Herts Historic Churches Trust Bike’n’Hike event next Saturday, September 12.

High Sheriff of Herts Jonathan Trower, pictured with supporter Nicholas Buxton, has a rendezvous with his opposite number the Countess of Erroll – both have pledged to support the charity during their year in office.

Last year the event, now 20 years old, raised more than £110,000. To find out more, visit www.bedshertshct.org.uk.
