As only the full town council met during August, there were no committee reports this month. It was reported that a meeting had been held with a representative of Beds County Council to discuss and try to resolve some of the Highway issues causing problem
As only the full town council met during August, there were no committee reports this month. It was reported that a meeting had been held with a representative of Beds County Council to discuss and try to resolve some of the Highway issues causing problems to the town, including the resurfacing of Ivel Road without proper investigation of the sinkage, drainage, reinstatement of footways by the utilities, parking issues, yellow lines and weeds on the highway. The meeting was reported to have been positive in airing issues that need addressing and it was suggested amongst other things that it might be possible to undertake a Transport Study to look at the overall traffic management issues. The next meeting of the full council will be on September 29.
