Met last Thursday for another lively meeting, though the County Manager was unable to attend as hoped. Carers Rights Day has been a success, though many questions had not been answered. Dementia was discussed, with an apparent increase, mainly due to us living longer. A century ago there were very few cases. Sally Petre and Anita Cook are able to help and advise on 01525 841472, they can also help with support, calling in expert practitioners. Care Assessments were the thorniest issue with several complaints. The February 16 meeting will have Debbie Balaam with help on Financial Assessments at 11am at the Shefford Town Meeting Room.
