Boro are now five points adrift of safety with games in hand
Stevenage are now five points from safety with games in hand following Saturday’s postponed game at home to Wolves.
That match was the sixth since the turn of the year that has been postponed/re-arranged due to the bad weather and cup runs, with Stevenage next in action away at Rotherham United on Saturday.
On Saturday wins for Notts County and Sheffield United saw those two sides put further distance between themselves and Boro (now five and four points respectively) while Bristol City earned a point at Oldham Athletic and Crewe drew 3-3 at Bradford City.
There were defeats for Tranmere Rovers, now 17th, Carlisle United, 20th, and Shrewsbury Town, 23rd, while there are just six points between bottom of the table Stevenage and Crawley Town who are 16th.
