FATHER Christmas will be making an appearance in Biggleswade this weekend as part of a very special concert.

East Beds Concert Band is staging an exciting interactive Christmas event with younger members of the audience in mind.

The first half of the concert will proceed as normal but come the interval, while mums and dads enjoy a mince pie and a glass of mulled wine, youngsters can get involved by making a shaker.

The big man in red will take time out of his busy schedule to see how his little friends are getting on and they can then use their hand-made instruments to play along in the second half.

On the bill for the concert is a range of music to suit all ages, including music from Pirates Of The Caribbean, Colonel Hathi's March (The Elephant March) from The Jungle Book, and Let It Snow.

All funds raised at the concert will go to Sunnyside School to help it buy new machinery and equipment.

The concert will take place on Sunday (December 3) at Holmemead Middle School in Biggleswade from 4pm to 7pm.

Tickets will be sold on the door only and cost £6 for adults and £4 for children and concessions.
