Children and staff at the Puddleduck Nursery, Hitchin Street, Baldock, decided to have a yellow day to raise money for Cancer Research.
Manager Kara Goodship and deputy manager Nickie Grigg said: "Parents have been very supportive and the children have all had a really fun day. Children dressed up in yellow clothes, planted daffodils and ate macaroni cheese and lemon iced sponge."
By the time the nursery closed for the day, it was hoped £250 would have been raised for the charity.
