AN environmental charity is looking to recruit green-minded apprentices.

Groundwork Hertfordshire is looking for five people who would like to work in the environmental sector.

The Green Apprentices will get a paid placement with the charity, and also at the Countryside Management Service which jointly runs the scheme.

As trainee project managers, the apprentices will learn from skilled staff in both organisations about how to run environmental projects ranging from new cycle paths to community parks on deprived estates.

The apprenticeships would start in June.
