I am emphatically against any development encroaching into Herts, utterly ridiculous. There is unprecedented development already for Hertfordshire. The county is deemed to be a low rainfall area and this would have an impact on the environment and a huge demand for water. There would be huge pressure on the whole infrastructure on our county. This is in conjunction with land having to be made available for gypsy and traveller sites. Green Belt land in Hertfordshire must be protected at all costs even from our own Boroughs and the unelected quangos. The borough of Hertfordshire must protest to this Government. Otherwise Hertfordshire will become an urban sprawl
