There will be an Easter Egg Hunt this weekend to raise funds and provide some fun for all the family.

Ickleford Pre-School will be holding the Easter eggstravaganza at Upper Green in Ickleford on Sunday from 10.30am to 12.30pm with parking at the Recreation Ground car park off Chambers Lane – to help keep the roads in the centre off the village clear.

As well as the egg hunt, there will be refreshments and a raffle, plus toys, games and Easter colouring. There will also be a cake/cupcake competition, with entries to be sold on the refreshment stand after judging.

Committee treasurer Ruth Bryer said: “We would love as many parents and carers as possible to get involved. So please come along, bake for us if you can, buy raffle tickets and tell your friends about it!”

Mary Exton Primary School on St Michael’s Road in Hitchin is also holding an Easter Eggstravaganza at the school on Saturday from 10am to 1pm.
