A home which offers supported living for adults with learning disabilities has been celebrating its 40th anniversary this month.

Staff, service users and visitors at Scarborough House in Stevenage enjoyed a party with a Seventies fancy dress theme to reflect the decade the service first opened.

Team leader Vicki Price said: “We had a live band, buffet and marquee. Relatives of everyone who lives there were invited, along with old staff members and other professionals we work with, to celebrate the event.

“Everyone joined in the fancy dress fun and we had lots of different costumes, such as ABBA, Rocky and Superman.

“There were many compliments from the event and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.”
