Boro beat Barnet 1-0 at The Hive last weekend, with the travelling fans in brilliant voice.

It was something that Sarll noticed from the touchline and he was keen to laud his side’s travelling support.

He told the Comet: “At Barnet, the supporters were magnificent.

“At times it was like playing at home, especially in the first half.

“In the second half they did exactly what I would have done, held onto their seats as tightly as they could and kept checking their watches.

“But you go through that process and at the end of it there is a really sense of pride at what’s been achieved under our banner and badge.

“I hope we showed the fans how tight we are as a group because we’ll need them to show how tight they are to us.”

Celebrating with the away fans following the victory was a moment that Sarll greatly enjoyed, recalling last Saturday with a smile on his face.

“It was a lovely moment at the end, I don’t think I’ll ever get bored of celebrating,” he said.

“I didn’t have it as a player where I could celebrate with loads of supporters and big crowds so I won’t ever get bored of saluting the supporters at the end, especially when we win.”
