Children from the Happy Days Playroom at the centre took part in the special day which was funded by Stevenage Borough Council Local Community Budgets scheme.

Councillor Jeannette Thomas, executive member for communities and neighbourhoods, said: “I’m glad that we’re helping Stevenage people come together for a festive celebration.

“The Local Community Budget scheme can make a big difference to so many groups, organisations and charities in the town and I hope these grants will spread Christmas cheer a little further, and give everyone the chance to get involved in their community – particularly those people on their own at Christmas.”
