A teenager has been charged with grevious bodily harm after he allegedly broke a police officer’s leg in a road collision in Sandy.
Jack Mitchell, 19, of Kingsmoor Road in Harlow, Essex, was charged on Sunday with GBH with intent to resist or prevent arrest, in relation to the incident in Sunderland Way on the afternoon of April 24.
A female officer was left with a broken leg when Mitchell allegedly crashed his black Audi A5 into a marked police car.
The 19-year-old is alleged to have then fled the scene, with the Audi being abandoned and set on fire in Wynnefield Walk.
Mitchell has also been charged with dangerous driving. He remains in custody ahead of a court appearance.
He has been charged with the same two offences for a separate incident in Essex on April 26.
