Sandy and Biggleswade community nurse receives prestigious award

A Sandy and Biggleswade community nursing sister has been honoured for her professional commitment.
Sarah O’Hare has been awarded the prestigous title of Queen’s Nurse by the Queen’s Nursing Institute – a registered charity dedicated to improving the nursing care of people in the home and community.
The title is only awarded for a commitment to high standards of patient care, learning and leadership.
Sarah said: “It is such an honour and a privilege to be given this title.”
QNI chief executive Crystal Oldman congratualted Sarah on her award.
“On behalf of the QNI, I would like to congratulate Sarah and welcome her as a Queen’s Nurse,” she said.
“Queen’s Nurses serve as leaders and role models in community nursing, delivering high-quality health care. The application and assessment process to become a Queen’s Nurse is rigorous and requires clear commitment to improving care for patients, their families and carers.
“We look forward to working with Sarah and all other new Queen’s Nurses who have received the title this year.”
