With GCSE results come the highs of success but also lows for those who have not done as well as they wanted.
And for those who need someone to talk to, the Hitchin-based Samaritans has released a text number.
Explaining the scheme, the branch director said: "We are trying to reach out to the young, especially at this stressful time. People say that you can't communicate with people by text, but this is how teenagers talk. They can do it from anywhere - on the bus, at home.
"The call is stripped of its identity - we never see the caller's text number - they keep their anonymity."
