THE Samaritans held a flagship day to raise awareness of the organisation and to help raise vital funds for the charity.
Called 24:7, the day acted as a reminder that the Samaritans' services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
An information stall was set up in the Garden Square Shopping Centre, Letchworth GC, and cash was raised by the sale of dog tags and glow-in-the-dark pin badges.
Samaritans provides confidential emotional support for people who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those which may lead to suicide.
