There is a guided walk in the Sandy Warren heath land restoration area of RSPB The Lodge nature reserve, Sandy, on Sunday. There is a small charge for this tour, which begins at 2pm There are mini-beast safaris at RSPB The Lodge nature reserve, Sandy, on Friday, July 28 and Thursday, August 3. Booking is essential as numbers are limited, to ensure that children can make the most of the event. Local expert Mark Boyd will be safely trapping live moths during Friday night, and you are invited to an event at 10am on Saturday morning, July 29, to see what has been flying around during the night. A guided walk on Sunday, July 30, beginning at 2pm will focus on butterflies in the gardens and on the nature reserve. There will also be a free demonstration of binoculars and telescopes that day, from 10am to 4pm. All events start at the Gatehouse at the entrance to the nature reserve.
