To celebrate Herbal Awareness Week, The Lodge nature reserve has a special guided walk on Sunday with medical herbalist, Julie Dore. Booking is essential for this tour, as places are limited. The cost is £3, plus the £3 nature reserve's entry fee for non-members (reductions for concessions and children). The event begins at The Lodge Gatehouse at 10am - please call in or phone 01767 680541 to book your place(s). Join an RSPB guided walk on Thursday, May 25, to explore the wildlife that has colonised restored heath land in Sandy Heath Quarry. We can expect warblers and skylarks, and hope for cuckoos and little owls, and several scarce flowers will be in bloom. This event is free, and begins at The Lodge Gatehouse at 10am.
