There are two family events at RSPB The Lodge nature reserve, Sandy, on Sunday, the first is called Empty Nests and it begins at 10.30. We will be looking at how the spring weather has affected the wildlife on the nature reserve. There will be another Minibeast Safari in the afternoon beginning at 2pm, when children can discover some of the fantastic creatures that live on the heath, both events cost £2 per child (£3 for non-members), children must be accompanied and there is no charge for their adults, booking is essential. Please call in at The Lodge shop or phone 01767 680541 to book your place. Sandy Heath Quarry is the destination for a guided walk on Thursday June 15, when you can see how the latest stage of heathland restoration is developing. This event is free and it begins at 2pm at The Lodge shop.
