Stevenage Liberal Democrats have recently received a number of complaints about a one sided A4 letter which they have received from a resident of Martins Wood. The letter urges them not to vote Liberal Democrat in the elections and is worded so that it looks like it has been sent by the Liberal Democrats - whereas in fact the (very small) imprint makes clear that it actually comes from the Labour Party.

I wish to make it clear that the resident who wrote the letter is not, and never has been, a member of Stevenage Liberal Democrats, and that the letter has not been authorized by the Liberal Democrats.

Our clear advice to voters is that if you agree with Liberal Democrat plans and policies then you should vote Liberal Democrat - the more that people do this, the more Liberal Democrat policies you will get.
