Robbers floor man in Stevenage street attack

FOUR robbers pinned a man to the ground and stole his valuables in a night time street attack in Stevenage.

The victim, a 22-year-old Stevenage man, was walking along Meredith Road at 9.30pm on Friday when he was grabbed by at least four men who pushed him to the floor and held him down while they searched his pockets.

The men, described as white and wearing hooded tops, stole a Sony Ericsson mobile phone and cash before making off in the direction of Webb Rise.

The victim suffered slight injuries.
