THIS year's Sandy 10 Road Race raised over £1,000 for two charities.
The race, started in 1983 by Paul Tomlin and organised since 1998 by Biggleswade Athletic Club, was again very successful, raising a total of £1,200 that has been donated to two charities.
Cheques for £600 were presented before the club's usual Tuesday run last week on the new track.
They went to Gillian Parker, national development manager for British Blind Sport and David and Mary Whitehead, volunteers from the Keech Cottage Children's Hospice.
