Jack Storer has made his debut for Birmingham City.
The 18-year-old came off the bench with 20 minutes to go in today’s Championship opener, and almost won his side three points with a late effort only to see it saved by David Marshall as the game finished 0-0.
Storer signed for the Blues earlier this year for a five-figure fee from Stevenage, and he has forced his way into the first-team reckoning following a stunning pre-season that saw him score seven times.
He will now look to feature again when Birmingham host Oxford United in the EFL Cup first round on Tuesday.
After making his first-team debut, the teenager took to Twitter to say: “A dream come true, delighted to have made my debut today for @BCFC, gutted to have not scored, but onto Tuesday now! #BCFC”
