A POTTON restaurant will hold a gala evening to support two major cancer organisations.

Currently there are no specialist facilities for teenagers with cancer in East Anglia and now the Teenage Cancer Trust is working to build a specialist unit specifically for them and is currently in discussions with Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge.

Also benefiting from the event at the Ritzy India Restaurant will be St John's at Moggerhanger near Sandy.

The hospice was set up in memory of the late Bishop John Hare and is now developing into a specialist palliative care and treatment centre with two consultants leading the clinical team.

St John's is able to care for patients with a range of medical conditions as well as their families and loved ones, offering specialist palliative medical and nursing care to ensure an improved quality of life.

The grand charity night at the Ritzy India Restaurant will be on Monday, October 2 and again the following night with the tickets costing £14.95.

For more details about the event call the restaurant on 01767 261651/ 260332.
