Recent Fund raising events

In the village have been successful. The Revels on the Rec raised £3,000. £2,700 will go towards the building of a new vaccination park for the nomadic tribes of Mauritania in the Sahara desert, £300 was given to the Recreation Ground refurbishment fund.

The Revels on the Rec raised £3,000. £2,700 will go towards the building of a new vaccination park for the nomadic tribes of Mauritania in the Sahara desert, £300 was given to the Recreation Ground refurbishment fund. Oxfam raised £1,000 from a recent cooked breakfast event. The Oxfam shop in Letchworth is now a book shop selling records, CD's, DVD's and videos as well as books. There is a special table where children can sit and look at books and there is a story time session on Thursday afternoon from 2.30 - 3pm. Helpers are needed for the shop, if you can spare half a day contact Lesley King on 01462 742170.
